'I think they pulled a scheme on us': Cat That Was Adopted by a Kind Family Brings His Brother Home, Forcing Them to Take Him Too, in an Adorable Two-for-One Cat Distribution System Special

A two-for-one special. That happens sometimes with the Cat Distribution System. Some cats cannot be separated. We call these cats bonded pairs. That is known, and the Cat Distribution System knows that and accommodates for that as well. You may think, once you adopt a cat, that this is it, the system has done its thing, but that's not always true. When it comes to bonded cat pairs, even if you start with one, the other one will come to you in one way or another. 

And this time, the second kitty was delivered via the first one. If the humans missed the second half of the bonded pair as they were outside, getting the first one, then the first one has no choice but to go out and bring the second half. At least that's how it worked for this couple. And guess what? Even though they did not plan on adopting two, the followed the system's directions and did it anyway.

    Oh, how we love the Cat Distribution System. It works in mysterious ways. And you never quite know what it is going to bring with it. We are sure these people did not expect another delivery by The System, but it had other plans, and it went through with them.

    Come on. Clearly, there two were a package deal. There was no way to avoid this. Had you seen the second kitty before adopting the first one, you would have immediately known. But it doesn't matter. Regardless, you would have ended up taking them both in. Because that's what The System had in store for you.

    This is the same place we rescued a kitten from two years ago, so there's a chance that the CDS has ordered a family reunion of sorts. First order of business is to call the vet and get them checked out and their neutering scheduled. Also tick pulling. So much tick pulling.

    WheelyMcFeely OP • 4d ago • Edited 4d ago I'm thinking they were always outside judging from the amount of ticks and old tick bites and the fact they're intact males, but if our suspicions are true they've always had shelter under my mom's porch and were fed pretty regularly by her for like the first year of their life after their possible momma was rescued. Might also explain why they're so friendly too! 411 Reply ...

There was a momma cat that kept having litters under my mom's porch until she was finally caught and spayed after the third time along with most but not all of the litter. We rescued our youngest cat Penny from that third litter and think these boys are either from the same one or the one before with how similar they look to her.
